Description:

Last night's full moon was hidden behind a thick layer of clouds. Some moons are supermoons. They’re both full and close. But the February 2024 full moon, known as the Snow Moon, is a micromoon. It’s full and far from Earth. At its farthest, known as apogee, its distance was 252,225 miles (405,917 km). That’s in contrast to the average distance between the Earth and moon, 238,900 miles (384,472 km).
