Description:
NGC 1365, The Great Barred Spiral Galaxy, is known for the prominent bar that cuts across its center and the sweeping spiral arms that wind around the galaxy’s core. The arms are dotted with bright blue clusters of young stars formed from the gas and dust pulled in by the gravitational forces of the bar. Another captivating aspect of NGC 1365 is its supermassive black hole at the center. This black hole is estimated to have a mass around 2 million times greater than that of our Sun.
