Description:

NGC 772 is a galaxy 130 million light years away from us. it is interacting tidally with its three neigbors seen in this image as fuzzy cores. The largest of these is designated as NGC 770. The gravitational interaction can be seen most clearly by the apparent lifting of the innermost, left hand spiral arm out of the main galactic plane. What is mind blowing is that even using a relatively small scope we can see nebulae from such a huge distance. Acquired with 5minute subframes. 48 of blue and green, 58 of red and 81 of luminance for a total of 19 and a half hours
