Today's photographs were made in Jadwin, Missouri with a 5 inch apochromatic refracting telescope at f9 on a Losmandy G-8 mount, a Cannon 60Da camera was used for an exposure of 5 seconds at an ISO of 2000.
These are a couple of images I made of Comet, Pan-STARRS on March 20, 2013. As I look over my collection of images starting with March 11 until now I see nightly changes in the Comet, the direction of the tail comes to mind first, always away from the Sun. Changes in color, at times, and also changes in the size of the coma. Poor weather is predicted for the next several days, so no more pictures, for a while. But I think an interesting exhibit or article might be on how Comet Pan-STARRS evolved in shape, size and color as it was seen from Earth by millions of us Humans around the world.
