Description:

While perusing N.I.N.A.'s Sky Atlas for objects, came across this "scarry" composition in Auriga. It's the "Spider & Fly Nebula" possibly without the fly. Nebula IC 417 and clusters NCG 1912 and NGC 1902 visible. 12.7 hours of 4 min subs over two nights. No filters. Processed in PixInsight using Xterminator tools. Having just re-read "The Lord of the Rings", reminds me of Shelob and maybe her nest of "children" - the clusters. Details: https://www.astrobin.com/afu9ik/B/
