Description:
Solargraphy records the movement of the Sun over weeks or even months, producing unique, often ethereal images. Many photographers using this technique set up their cameras from the winter solstice to the summer solstice, resulting in mesmerizing compositions. For this project, I transformed a 50cl beer can into a pinhole camera, loading it with light-sensitive photographic paper. I placed the camera at the rear of the Museum of the Moving Image, a contemporary architectural structure featuring an urban art piece on its facade.
