Description:
The trifid lies low in the southern sky here in Northern Michigan. I captured 1 hour each RGB frames, 2 hours Luminance and 75 minutes of Ha spread out over several nights during periods of good seeing. As a kid I was a big fan of British Sci Fi author John Wyndham, and I borrowed the name of my favorite Wyndham book "The Night of the Trifids" as my title for this photo.
