Description:
This was an extremely difficult event to view visually. An perfectly unobstructed view of the SW horizon was a must! In Southeastern Pennsylvania, we experienced a very rare January cloud free sunset. I had to travel to a nearby farm to obtain that needed view. Mighty Jupiter came into view first. The flighty Mercury became visible minutes later only a mere 3 degrees above the horizon. I was never able to spot Saturn with its feeble light being washed out by the deep oranges of sunset.

Thanks for posting your image of the conjunction of Mercury, Jupiter, and Saturn. Due to clouds I was unable to this event.
