In the article "Searching for Supernovae on a Shoestring" in the July, 2009, issue of Sky & Telescpe, Thiam-Guan Tan mentions several scripts that he wrote to generate a list of target galaxies, slew his telescope to each one, and take images throughout the night.

Click here to download a zip file containing Tan's scripts and associated files. When unzipped, the contents should be:

Examiner202.au3
GalaxyGen205.au3
TargetPoint120.au3
catalog.txt
readme.txt

The scripts are likely to require modification for your specific computer and telescope equipment. They can be executed using AutoIt version 3.2.2, which can be downloaded here at no charge. For additional information, see the AutoIt home page.
