As a service to our community, Sky & Telescope lists astronomy-related events, including star parties, observatory public nights, astronomy talks, and more. Star parties offer dark skies and astronomical fellowship and often cater to families and feature special activities for kids. Public nights give the general public a chance to view the sky through large telescopes, and public talks are a great place to learn the fundamentals of the science and the craft.

The Practical Observation Astronomical Night Camp will be held on the 26th of August 2023, organized by the Astronomical Society of Galenbindunuwewa Central College. The Old Anandian Astronomical Association, Star Party Group, Telescopelk, and The Astronomy Teachers Collaboration will conduct the camp under the concept of "Astronomy from village to village". With a duration of 12 hours, it encompasses enriching theoretical sessions and hands-on activities. The program targets school students to enhance their knowledge and ignite enthusiasm for Astronomy and Space Science studies.
