As a service to our community, Sky & Telescope lists astronomy-related events, including star parties, observatory public nights, astronomy talks, and more. Star parties offer dark skies and astronomical fellowship and often cater to families and feature special activities for kids. Public nights give the general public a chance to view the sky through large telescopes, and public talks are a great place to learn the fundamentals of the science and the craft.

Parker Farm 2024 Eclipse Event

Parker Farm 2024 Total Eclipse Event: Saturday April 6, 2024, 11am - Tuesday April 9, 2024, 12pm. 3-day event for the total eclipse. We will be viewing the eclipse as well as night sky observing each evening. Admission for the 3-day event is $250 per adult person, with children under 18 admitted free with paid adult. RV camping and tent sites included in fee. Colorado Springs Astronomical Society will be hosting this event with 126+ members. The ARGO/USAF Academy has requested to join our event with 20+ cadets. BSA Troops and Packs will be attending earing merit badges. Solar and space programs daily. Live music daily Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Food and drinks available on site. Event transportation for April 7, 2024 is available for scheduled wine tour, Admiral Nimitz/Pacific War Museum tour, and downtown shopping. Event tent, tables, chairs, and porta potties on site. This event has been opened to the public until we fill the available RV/Camping spots. Bring your telescopes.
