Upcoming Astronomy Events
As a service to our community, Sky & Telescope lists astronomy-related events, including star parties, observatory public nights, astronomy talks, and more. Star parties offer dark skies and astronomical fellowship and often cater to families and feature special activities for kids. Public nights give the general public a chance to view the sky through large telescopes, and public talks are a great place to learn the fundamentals of the science and the craft.
You’ll also see online events offered here.

Virtual Star Gazing
March 20 - March 22
a o
To establish a premier national digital gateway for scientific literacy, the All India Astronomy Club is proud to host a transformative three-day Virtual Astronomy Workshop from March 20 to March 22, 2026. Our vision is to democratize space science by providing an immersive online curriculum that transitions students from casual observers to informed enthusiasts through the study of fundamental cosmic principles.
Over the course of this event, we will explore the essential foundations of the universe, focusing on the immediate celestial phenomena that govern our daily lives. The workshop is specifically designed to simplify core concepts, covering Solar System Architecture, the Dynamics of Moon Phases, and the Art of Constellation Identification. By integrating interactive digital modules and open-access educational tools, we aim to bridge the gap between classroom theory and practical curiosity. This initiative empowers a new generation of Indian students to build a strong scientific foundation, fostering a community that is intellectually curious, technically aware, and deeply connected to the wonders of our sky.
