Description:
This is a composite image to highlight the prominences observed throughout the eclipse. Four images were used: -- First contact: 13:48, ISO 400, 1/1600 sec., f/14 -- Coronal 1: 13:51, ISO 400, 1/320 sec., f/7/1 -- Coronal2: 13:51, ISO 400, 1/400 sec., f/8 -- Third contact: 13:52, ISO 400, 1/800 sec., f/11 Each image was adjusted for ideal exposure using DXO PhotoLab 7.5. They were stacked as a Smart Object in Photoshop CS3 to mask out the diamond ring effects of first and last contact. PS-CS3 was also used to balance coronal detail among the 4 images and to correct color of blown-out chromosphere in lower-right.
