Description:

This would be annular eclipse #6 for me, including shooting 2 from the air, and the first one I purposely went for the very edge of coverage, 57 miles from the center line. Coverage here would be only 58 seconds duration between 2nd & 3rd contacts, in order to capture the sun peeking through the valleys of the lunar disk. What I would call "The Hairy Edge". Being positioned on the frontage road of west bound Interstate 20, mile post 199, 20 miles east of Big Springs, Texas equated to being in the middle of nowhere. The Texas Highway Patrol stopped by to check up on me and there were 4 other cars who actually got off at the next exit and doubled back to check out my set up, find out where center line was and to even take a look through the C8 I also had set up.
