Solar Prominences, Planetariums, and Martian Rivers
In the October 2025 issue of Sky & Telescope, we’re catching some Sun and solar prominences with our guide to imaging these stunning outbursts. Next, we head inside Hayden Planetarium for some shade and discuss the history of planetariums. Then, it’s into the dark to track down obscure planetary nebulae. We head back to well-trodden ground with Mars. Did you know that ancient rivers carved many of the features that rovers see on the Red Planet today? Finally, we bring it back home to our own pale blue dot, covering Christiaan Huygens efforts to reckon with our place in the universe back in 1698 with his masterwork, Cosmotheoros.

The link to the digital edition does not work. I am a subscriber. How do I get my issue?

The link to the digital edition is working for me. Can you email our customer service ([email protected]) and describe the problem that you're having? We can help you better from there.

I'm having probably the same problem. I'm already logged in. I click the Digital Issue link. It asks me to log in again. I try to do so, and it says "authentication error - please check your subscription". I can email customer service, but I'll just be telling them the same thing I just told you. Instead of giving us the runaround, how about actually making your website work?

I'm afraid editors have no access to subscriber accounts for privacy reasons. You'll have to contact Omeda customer service if you are having trouble accessing the digital subscription. (Not to mention, if many subscribers are contacting them about a single problem, they can let us know and it can be addressed.) Their email is [email protected].

Thanks for your input. I have already tried that like 1-2 times each week and still my emails got ignored. Also I can see they read the emails, they just don't reply. Also considering that other people complain about the exact same issue... I would say we need to escalate somehow and solve the problem. Since all you seem to be able to do is to direct prople back to those who don't do anything... I am considering to write to them that I want to cancel - probably they won't be confused about my request this time. It's not normal to pay for the subscription and then get ignored while not being able to benefit from what you have already paid for in advance.

Hello:
I have the same problem and Omeda just replied asking me to register my email using a link they gave me. I tried to register but the site says the email is already registered (which is correct since I had already created the account before buying the subscription) and I can access the account but still no access to the digital edition and I get the same authentication error. I got back to Omeda with the problem and they never replied again. It's been almost a month since I am trying to get Omeda to do something and I am still ignored. How do we escalate?

I'm sorry that you've not received helpful replies. It sounds like you are trying to access the digital issue, and Omeda misunderstood and thought you were trying to access the website. Can you email [email protected] with a description of the problem?
